Installing industrial Ethernet cabling in factories is often expensive and time-consuming, especially in hard-to-reach, outdoor, or hazardous areas. In many cases, running long cable routes is simply not practical, yet reliable and secure communication between PLCs, HMIs, and control rooms is still required. This creates a clear need for a more flexible and efficient connectivity solution.
The Anybus Wireless Bridge is an industrial wireless communication solution designed to replace traditional Ethernet or serial cables with secure wireless connections.
It enables reliable data transmission over distances of up to 400 meters in line-of-sight conditions, using industrial-grade Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) or Bluetooth.
A single hardware platform supports both WLAN and Bluetooth communication, making it a versatile and cost-effective solution for modern industrial networks.
Anybus Wireless Bridge and Anybus Wireless Bolt, a connection point for on-machine mounting, share the same technology making them able to communicate seamlessly, opening up for even more innovative wireless system solutions.

How does it work?Anybus Wireless Bridge creates a transparent wireless link between devices, replacing a physical Ethernet or serial cable. One unit acts as an Access Point connected to the factory network, while one or more units operate as Clients at remote sites. Devices communicate over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth as if they were directly connected by cable, with no changes required to existing PLC or SCADA systems.
